Article I: Club Name and Emblem

Section 1: Club Name – Absolute Illusions Custom Car Club

Section 2: Emblem

  • Other Approved Emblems are available upon request
  • Any Alterations, aside from color, to the emblem must be approved by officers/founders

 

Article II: Objectives

Section 1: Absolute Illusions Custom Car Club is dedicated to the preservation of special interest cars: Sport Compact

Section 2: To promote interest in various forms of automotive activity

Section 3: To create good fellowship and sportsmanship among all members of the club.

Section 4: To conduct club functions and activities in a manner benefiting members of the automotive sport, and to encourage a better understanding of the automotive sport as a constructive sport among members of the public, press, and law enforcement agencies.

Section 5: To promote safety in driving, automobile maintenance, and overall vehicle operation.

Article III: Membership

Section 1: Prospective members should be sponsored by a club member.

Section 2: Prospective members must attend one (1) meeting (two (2) meetings if they are not sponsored), then be voted on by founders and officers by the next meeting.

Section 3: Within one (1) year of membership, member is required to have a project car or completed car (of special interest). If member sells their car, they are required to have another within one (1) year.

Section 4: To maintain an active status in this club, a member must attend at least one meeting every one meeting in the spring, summer and fall. If a member is in violation, he/she will be notified by mail. If he/she fails to respond to the letter or does not attend the next meeting, he/she will be considered an inactive member.

Section 5: All members in violation of any rules shall be notified of their offenses before actions are taken.

Section 6: All major club expenses in excess of $25.00 will be decided on by a majority of the members at a regular meeting.

Section 7: Any person under 18 years of age wishing to become a member must have the following:

  • Be a licensed driver.
  • Have written parental consent.
  • Be sponsored by a club member over the age of 18.

Section 8: Membership to Absolute Illusions Custom Car Club will include husband, wife, and any children under the age of 18. Meeting credits will be limited to one credit per family per meeting regardless of how many family members attend.

 

Article IV: Dues

Section 1: Dues will be $25.00 for the first year of membership, payable upon acceptance into the club. For every year thereafter, dues will be $15.00 per year.

Section 2: If for any reason the member leaves the organization and then rejoins, the dues for the first year back will be $25.00.

Section 3: Any member who cannot attend any meeting, may earn credit for that meeting by participating in a car show or another event sponsored by Absolute Illusions Custom Car Club . To receive this credit, you must bring proof of attendance (i.e. window sticker, etc.) to the next meeting. The event must occur in the same month as the missed meeting. No more credits can be earned than the number of meetings held that month.

 

Article V: Elections

Section 1: All nominees for any office must be active members in good standing.

Section 2: Elections will be held during the first meeting of the new calendar year with the new officers assuming their duties at the next meeting.

Section 3: Nominations must be made from the floor during the meeting with all voting done by secret ballot.

Section 4: Elected officers will be decided by a majority vote of all active members in good standing attending the meeting.

 

Article VI: Officers and Duties

Section 1: President
  • Conduct and oversee all club activities.
  • Sign all club correspondence and be the official representative of the club in all activities and business.
  • To delegate authority and expedite purchases in the most economical manner.
Section 2: Vice President
  • Substitute in absence of the president.
  • Act in cooperation with the president in keeping order in the meetings.

Section 3: Secretary

  • Keep accurate minutes of all club meetings and present minutes of previous meetings for acceptance.

Section 4: Treasurer

  • Keep accurate account of all club funds and expenditures.
  • Give monthly financial reports.
  • Keep records of income and expenses which shall be available to membership inspection at all times.

Section 5: All major office holders must attend 75% or all club meetings or surrender his/her office to the club president, who shall appoint a member in good standing, subject to founders'/officers' approval, to serve the remainder of the present term.

 

Article VII: Amendments

Section 1: The club constitution and by-laws can be amended by a member in good standing proposing an amendment at a meeting. The secretary will then send a form letter to each member in good standing, to be received by each member at least one (1) week before the next meeting. This letter will inform each member that an amendment proposal has been made. The proposal will be made, discussed, and voted on at the next meeting. To pass, the proposal must be approved by the founders and officers.

Section 2: Approved and accepted amendments shall be inserted into the written constitution and by-laws and shall take effect immediately.
